Challenge

To refresh their outdated website to a broader audience with a strong link to their provenance, quality and recipe options. The client wanted to bring a strong sense of fun and character to their site, as reflected of their early 2000's commercial.

Approach

Working to extend their style guide, we "found the fun" within the brand with hand drawn illustrations, country grain textures, organic section dividers and friendly farm industry while also taking care to keep the animal/product shots separated by at least one section to not alarm users.

A precedent was set with photography editing to make sure that the animals look healthy, have enough space and their locations look like an idyllic farm.

Outcome

A revamped website that brings Mt Barker’s bright personality to the screen with a hub of information to help their customers make more conscious buying decisions. This was achieved through a simplified IA with handy filters on multiple pages for users to find exactly what they want to know about the brand, including locations of products, health information, sustainability and recipes.
